TL;DR: Radiostar Productions is an indie animation studio built on the concept that entertainment should not be seen as a distraction, because with the right theme and the right writing, a good story can change someone’s life for the better.
Radiostar Productions is an Indie (Independent) Animation Studio created by Gi on May 13th, 2020. Gi had been animating little skits for a few months prior to this. They weren’t good, far from it, and the animations he made after the account was made for him by his parents weren’t good either. But he kept trying. Even if his first animations, were leaps and bounds worse than the first animations of most other people. Over time, he gained skills in art and writing that weren’t there before. It was originally named Gamio Productions, but when Gi named our mascot Gamio Gallery, we eventually changed the studio name to avoid redundancy, despite the fact it pre-existed the character.
He started the first show of notability on Aug. 11th, 2023: Interception, in his grandparents’ basement. This show was a mess, and is the perfect example of not being ashamed to make something that is bad before making something that is good. The main premise of the show was that every Phase, a new creator would join, and add their characters to the collaborative storyline, each main protagonist would have an antagonist that was more or less dark versions of them, although the reason for every character’s existence was different. Much of this show has become lost media, and the remaining videos are almost exclusively unlisted out of embarrassment. More of the series is getting deleted and lost every day.
During Interception, Gi and what would evolve into SketchSquad learned how to work with a team. It wasn’t easy, and arguments were constant. But they persevered. Gi realized that he gave other people too much power over his own craft. Everyone planned a continuation of Interception, but separated from each other. Liam was the only one who succeeded in this, creating Reality Shift, continuing the stories of Verzee, Sticky, Mender, and all of his characters. This show was not produced by Radiostar Productions, but the studio and mainly Gi helped with it out of a strong relationship with this business partner. Toon Madness was planned to continue the story of Mito, Mylo, and Moxy, this show would be overseen and lightly directed by Gi, with the aid of Radiostar Prods. in order to make sure it stayed in the connected universe, however this plan dissolved. The relationship between this business partner faded so far that nobody knows what the state of this project is. It’s assumed that it won’t see the light of day. The final, and most ambitious project was The Toon Rebellion, which was intended to not only continue the story of Gamio, Blixr, and The Monster, but also ABT and Biøx. Eventually the idea of TTR continuing the story to Interception was scrapped in favor of it adapting the stories into a completely new storyline, with expansions upon them and tens of storylines and characters added. Whenever the series comes out, it will likely be the magnum opus of our studio, and become the greatest thing we’ve ever made with a message so powerful it could change society if taken to heart.
After Interception, the main participants in it as well as a few new people, joined together to create a podcast meant to be a more polished and better version of Friend Talks, a previous podcast that was produced. This would become SketchSquad. The SketchSquadmates—or members—would become the executives of Radiostar Prods.
The Toon Rebellion is and was way too ambitious to produce, Gi is writing it as of now, but it won’t be animated for a long time due to a lack of budget. In order to solve this problem, we began to continue making storytime animations as well as several other things that utilize the characters in order to introduce our audience to them.
After a couple years of trying to put an event together and failing, in 2025 we finally succeeded in arranging TOONCASE: a collection of announcements from Radiostar Prods. and its business partners. One of the projects announced in this was My Reflections Bleed, a Radiostar Productions show produced in collaboration with Liam’s company: Cosmic Frame, the closest business partner of Radiostar Productions. MRB will be a lower-budget project that will hopefully be the stepping stone needed to gain the budget and team to produce TTR.
